Creative Future Guide

Editorial policy

Creative Future Guide aims to make futures practice clear, useful and honest about uncertainty. Our editorial choices favour explanation, careful framing and reader understanding over dramatic forecasts.

Accuracy and uncertainty

We check factual statements against suitable sources when a piece relies on them, and aim to distinguish established information from interpretation, examples and imagined scenarios. We do not present a scenario as a forecast or imply that an exercise can determine what will happen.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made on the basis of relevance, clarity and accuracy. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage or a favourable view. Any paid, supplied or partner material is identified clearly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial work.

Corrections and illustrations

If a factual error is identified, we review it and correct the material where appropriate, making meaningful changes clear. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary evidence.

Our point of view

A possible future is not a prediction

Imagination is most useful when it broadens the choices in view. We pair open-ended thinking with clear questions about what can be done now.
